The victims of the July mass upsurge and their family members have blocked at Shahbagh intersection in city protesting in their treatment facilities.

They blocked the one of the busiest roads in the city at around 1:30PM on Monday, causing heavy traffic congestion almost all routes in the city.

The government has segregated the people sustained during the July mass upsurge into A, B and C categories to accelerate their treatment.

Still, the victims who are under the C category are being denied treatment with adequate facilities, they said and added it is sheer discrimination.

All the injured people must be treated either under one category or under A or B categories, ensuring equal treatment facilities for all, they said during the demonstration.
