A skill development seminar on 'Introducing marketing database and AI tools' was held at North South University recently.

The Digital Environment Committee of Marketing and International Business department organised the seminar at the university’s auditorium on Wednesday (February 12).
Marketing and International Business department chairman Assistant Professor Dr Khandker Md Nahin Mamun moderated the seminar while Assistant Professor of the same department Dr M TamhidUl Islam delivered speech.

The event, designed for both students and faculty, focused on utilizing marketing databases, such as Statista, and AI tools for market research, industry analysis, competitive benchmarking, consumer behavior studies, and trend forecasting.

Their expertise and insights provided valuable knowledge on utilizing marketing database and AI tools to develop strategic decision-making and optimize marketing efforts.

Addressing the seminar Dr Tamhid emphasised that data has become essential in today’s world. He introduced “Statista”, a German-based online platform, that compiles vast amounts of data and statistics, enabling students to access reliable data, market insights, and visualized statistics for research, assignments, and industry analysis. He shared insights on effectively using secondary data on Statista.

Dr Mamun in the seminar shared insights on multiple AI tools that would help in marketing research by offering built-in prompts and creating realistic creative ad materials for well-thought branding. Demonstrating platforms such as Jeda AI, Avidnote.com, ChatGPT, and KLING AI, he highlighted their effectiveness in streamlining research, improving content creation, and optimizing marketing strategies.

This event equipped attendees with a comprehensive understanding of modern marketing analytics, enabling them to stay ahead in an increasingly data-driven business landscape.

Dr. Mamun concluded the seminar with an engaging Question and Ask session, allowing participants to clarify their queries.
