The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted that rain or thunder showers are likely to occur in a few areas of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 AM on Monday.
According to the forecast, rain and thunder showers are expected at one or two locations in the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, as well as in the districts ofJashore and Kushtia. Meanwhile, the weather in other parts of the country is expected to remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky.
The BMD also noted the presence of a low-pressure trough over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
Moderate to thick fog is likely to form in the southern part of the country, with light to moderate fog expected elsewhere during late night to early morning hours.
The meteorological department also indicated a slight rise in both night and day temperatures by 1-2°C across the country.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature recorded was 32.4°C in Jashore, while the minimum temperature today was 12.0°C in Tetulia.
In the capital, the sun is expected to set at 5:55 PM Monday and rise at 6:30 AM Tuesday.
