Female police constable found hanging in Bandarban

Police recovered the hanging body of a female police constable in Bandarban town on Monday. 

The body was recovered around 8:30 am from a rented house in Bandarban municipality.

The dead Rumpa Das, 30, worked as a police member at Bandarban Sadar Police Station. It is initially believed that she committed suicide due to a family dispute. 

According to locals, Rumpa had been living with her two children and husband Sourav Kumar at Banarupa Para for about a year.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bandarban Sadar Police Station Masud Parvez confirmed the incident and said that the body was recovered and sent to morgue for autopsy. Legal proceedings are ongoing.
