3 die in Dhamrai road accidents

Three people, including a husband and wife, were killed in separate road accidents at Dhamrai in Dhaka.

The accidents occurred at around 9:30 pm on Sunday (February 16) in Bathuli and Balitha areas on the Dhaka-Aricha highway.
The dead were identified as Babul Hossain, 30, Sharmin Akter, 28, and Subhash Lohakar, 74. Babul Hossain and Sharmin Akter are husband and wife, residents of Nagarpur upazila in Tangail. Both worked in a garment factory at Dhamrai.

Manikganj's Golra Highway Police said that the couple was returning home riding on a motorcycle from Panch Baroi area at night. At that time, an unknown vehicle ran over them. They were taken to Manikganj Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

Meanwhile, pedestrian Subhas Louhakar, 75, was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Balitha area of ​​the highway around 9 pm.

Golra Highway Police Station Inspector (OC) Rupol Chandra Das confirmed the news.
