Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman leaves for Kuwait on Sunday for a 3-day official visit, an Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) release said.

The army chief will lead a five-member delegation to the Middle Eastern country, where he will make courtesy meetings with high-profile civil and military officials of the Kuwait government.

Waker-Uz-Zaman will also exchange views on developing military-related bilateral cooperation, the ISPR said. The visit is expected to further strengthen relations with the Kuwait armed forces, reinforce the confidence of Bangladeshi members engaged in Operation Kuwait Rebuilding (OKP), and promote the employment of skilled manpower from Bangladesh in Kuwait, it added.
