Annual sports competition kicks off at KUET

An annual sports competition-2025 began at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) on Sunday amid festive mood and much enthusiasm.

KUET Mechanical Engineering Faculty dean and director (student welfare) Professor Dr Mohammad Sultan Mahmud inaugurated the sports competition as the chief guest at the university's central playground around 3:00 PM.

Deputy Director (student welfare) Associate Professor Dr M Shaiful Islam was present here as the special guest.
Hundreds of teachers and students from different departments of the university gathered the venue to enjoy the competition.

The competition include running, high jump, long jump, discus throw, shot put, basket throw, relay race, three leg race, slow cycle, balance race, dress up, pillow distribution and tug of war.

The prize giving ceremony for the winners will be held on the campus in Khulna on February 22.
