Police block primary school recruitment candidates heading to Secretariat

The protesters demanding reinstatement of the cancelled recruitment for assistant teachers in government primary school have come across police barriers on the road leading to the Secretariat.

Police are trying to disperse them by firing water cannons.

The protesters started their march from in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh on Sunday, around 3 PM. More than a thousand protesters were heading from Shahbagh to the High Court via Dhaka University's TSC Road At 3:20 PM.
Later, they set off on the road towards the Secretariat.

At that time, the police set up barricades. Shortly before 4 PM, police fired water cannons at the protesters to disperse them.
