Six months after formation of the interim government, the first three-day 'Deputy Commissioners (DC) Conference' is set to begin from Sunday (today) in Dhaka.
Out of 1,245 proposals received from Divisional Commissioners and DCs in connection with the conference, a total of 354 proposals have been scheduled for discussion in the conference, which will conclude on February 18.
Chief Adviser Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus will inaugurate the DC Conference at 10:30am in the Shapla Hall of the Chief Adviser's Office (CAO) at Tejgaon.
After the inauguration, an open discussion between the Chief Adviser and the DCs will be held, where the deputy commissioners and divisional commissioners will discuss different issues openly including their requirements and demands to run the field level administration smoothly.
On Monday, apart from the working sessions, the DCs will meet the Chief Justice at the Supreme Court auditorium.
This year's DC Conference will feature 34 working sessions with various ministries and departments. Except the inaugural and open discussion session with the Chief Adviser, all sessions would be held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
