Jubo League leader held in Panchagarh

Police arrested a Jubo League leader as part of the nationwide Operation Devil Hunt from Natun Bandar area of Debiganj upazila in Panchagarh district on Saturday.

The arrested, Monjurul Islam, son of Moksed Ali, a resident of the municipal area, is the former vice-president of the upazila Jubo League.

Confirming the matter, Debiganj Police Station officer-in-charge Shoyel Rana said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive in the area and arrested him around 5:30 PM.
He was shown arrested in a case related to Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

Monjurul would be sent to jail producing him before a court in the district, the OC added.
