Police arrested 13 individuals for their involvement in various crimes, including snatching, during a special operation in the capital's Kamrangirchar area.
Several teams of police conducted drive in different places in the capital and arrested them, said Assistant Commissioner (media) of DMP Jahangir Kabir on Saturday.
The arresteed are Md Shafiqul Islam, 20, Md Tanvir Hossain, 22, Md Nayem Mollah, 20, Md Nahid Hossain, 20, Md Ripon Islam, 20, Md Shakib, 25, Md Sayem, 18, Nur Mohammad, 24, Md Kawsar, 20, Md Ramjan, 25, Md Sujan Kha, 30, Shahin Munshi, 40, and Md Shahed Khan, 35.
The arrested individuals include identified drug dealers, snatchers, extortionists, criminals, and thieves. They have been sent to court for legal proceedings, Jahangir added.
