Fire at ETV building under control

The fire that broke out at a restaurant on the ground floor of ETV Building (Jahangir Tower) at Kawran Bazar in Dhaka on Saturday night, was brought under control after half an hour of efforts.

The fire which originated around 8:20 PM at Peyala Restaurant on the ground floor of the building, was brought under control at about 8:50 PM, said Fire Service Headquarters Duty Officer Md Shahjahan.

On information, two firefighting units were sent to the spot, he said, adding that the source of the fire and the extend of damages could not be known immediately.
