Youth electrocuted in Bhola

A youth was electrocuted at Lalmohan upazila in Bhola district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Jahirul Islam, 32, son of Md Jalal Ahmed, a resident of Pangashia area in the upazila.

According to the victim’s cousin Monir Hosain, Jahirul was heading towards a farmland for irrigation through a motor pump then electrocuted.

Later, locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Lalmohan Police Station officer-in-charge Md Sirajul Islam confirmed the incident.
