Police arrested 19 leaders and activists of Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League from different places in Chattogram.
A press release, sent from the Public Relations Department of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), confirmed the matter on Saturday.
The arrestees are Tariqul Islam, 29, Sekantor Hossain Miah, 53, Abu Faisal, 33, Madhusadan Dutta, 45, Shawkat Hossain Babul, 35, Mofizur Rahman Chowdhury, 29, Nur Hossain, 48, Emon, 34, Abu Hanif, 25, Shukkur Ali Babu, 23, Panna Sheikh, 19, Anisur Rahman, 19, Alauddin, 32, Murad, 35, Robin Das, 27, Mohammad Rahad, 20, Shawkat Hossain Babu, 38, Ishrat Ashrafi Aupee, 25 and Faisal Ahmed Prakash Manik, 42.
The arrested are the accused in several cases including July Mass Uprising case, the release said.
