Awami League leader arrested in Ctg

Police arrested a local Awami League leader in Chittagong's Patiya.

The arrested Habibur Rahman Suman, 40, is a former Science and Technology Affairs Secretary of Patiya Municipal Awami League, a resident of Suchakradandi under Ward No. 2 of Patiya Municipality.

Suman was apprehended on Thursday night during a police operation in the Patiya municipal area.

Confirming the arrest, Patiya Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Zayed Md. Nazmun Nur stated that Suman was detained in connection with a case related to the July uprising.

He was sent to court on Friday.
