Ijtema for Saad followers begins today

GAZIPUR, Feb 13: The second phase of the 58th Bishwa Ijtema begins today (Friday) and it will end with the Akheri Munajat (final prayer) on February 16.

The district administration on February 9 handed over the Tongi Ijtema ground to the followers of Maulana Saad Kandhalvi for holding the second phase of the Bishwa Ijtema from February 14, said Mohammad Sayem, media coordinator for Saad followers on Thursday.

Since the holy Shab-e-Barat falls on the same day (today night), thousands of devotees will participate in the Ijtema Maidan to observe the night of fortune, said Mohammad Sayem.
The ijtema will begin with 'Aam Bayan' (general sermon) after the Fajr prayers, he added. —BSS
