Two motorcyclists killed in Tangail road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed in a road mishap at Kalihati upazila in Tangail district on Thursday.

The accident occurred around 10:00PM along the Dhaka-Tangail highway near Analiabari area no 9 bridge in the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Shamim Khan, 49, son of late Robi Khan and Mamun, 44, son of Younus.

According to locals, the victims were heading towards east of the bridge. At one stage they lost control over the steering of the motorcycle and hit a roadside excavator. They then died on the spot.

Later, police recovered their bodies.

Jamuna Bridge East Police Station sub inspector Rois Uddin confirmed the incident and said that the bodies were handed over to their relatives.
