Mar 17 set for next hearing

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Monirul Islam has set 17 March 2025 for the next hearing in the case of the murder of Fardin Noor Parash, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

This follows the failure of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to submit a further investigation report on the case, which was filed with Rampura Police Station on 12 February 2025.

On 16 April 2023, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Shanto Islam Mallick had accepted an objection raised by the plaintiff against the final report submitted by the Detective Branch (DB) Police and directed the CID to conduct a further investigation.
