Miraz named as vice captain for Champions Trophy

Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been appointed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as the vice captain of the Tigers in their mission for ICC Champions Trophy.

He has played 103 ODIs for Bangladesh so far and has the experience of leading the side in recent months in the West Indies.

Miraz has recently led Khulna Tigers to the playoffs of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

He was selected for the best player of the tournament for his outstanding allround performance. He scored 355 runs and took 13 wickets in 14 matches.
