3 companies fined for selling expired animal feed

A mobile court on Thursday has fined three establishments for selling expired medicines and animal feed without license in Chattogram’s Boalkhal upazila.

The court led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Kaniz Fatema raided at Gomdandi Fultal Chaumuhani area in the upazila and fined the owners.

A total of 45,000 taka was fined to Boalkhali Veterinary, Tk 5,000 to Shakpura Veterinary, and Tk 15,000 to Janani Medico and Feed for selling expired medicines and animal feed without a license under Consumer Rights Protection Act, said the executive magistrate Kaniz Fatema.

The operation would be continued in the future, she added.
