Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that weather will remain mostly dry with a partly cloudy sky over the country for the next 24 hours, starting from Thursday morning. There is a possibility of light rain or drizzle in one or two places in the Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
The BMD also warned of moderate to thick fog forming across the country from late night to early morning, with night temperatures expected to drop by 1-2°C. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain relatively unchanged.
A sub-continental high pressure system extends up to Bihar and surrounding areas, while a seasonal low pressure lies over the South Bay.
The maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday was 31.6°C at Patuakhali, while the minimum temperature today was 11.2°C at Tetulia.
In the capital, the sunset is expected at 5:52 PM Thursday, and the sunrise will be at 6:32 AM Friday.
