Case filed against 461 people including Bahar in Cumilla

A case has been filed against 261 people including former MP of Cumilla Sadar constituency AKM Bahauddin Bahar in connection with the attack and torture on anti-discrimination students in Cumilla Police Lines area.

On Tuesday (February 11), at around 2 am, Md Inzamul Haque Rana, son of Amir Hossain of Dumuria Chandpur village under Cumilla Sadar upazila, filed the case with the Kotwali Model Police Station as the plaintiff. 200 more unidentified people have been named as accused in the case.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Cumilla Kotwali Model Police Station Mohinul Islam said that 261 people including Bahauddin Bahar have been named as accused in the case and 150 to 200 unidentified people have been named as accused. Most of them have been in hiding since August 5. The police operation to arrest them is ongoing.
