The ferry services on the Daulatdia-Paturia route have resumed after being closed for five hours due to dense fog.

The services on this route resumed around 6:45 am on Thursday (February 13).
Earlier, all types of watercraft, including ferries, were temporarily suspended from 12:45 am on Wednesday (February 12) to avoid accidents due to dense fog on the Padma-Jamuna rivers.

BIWTC Daulatdia Ghat Branch Assistant Manager (Commerce) Abdul Alim Dayan said that fog started falling since Wednesday evening. As the night progressed, the fog density increased and the neon lights became dim. As a result, ferry services were temporarily suspended keeping safety in mind. However, the ferry services have been resumed as the situation has normalized.
