52 held in N’ganj within 24 hours

Police have arrested 52 individuals within 24 hours from different places of Naraynganj district in several drives, including the ongoing Operation Devil Hunt.

Additional Superintendent Police of Narayanganj Tarek Al Mehedi confirmed the detentions.
"In last 24 hours, police arrested 12 Awami League and its affiliated organisation leaders. Each are accused of attacking on students during the July uprising. Other 40 individuals have been arrested in several drives and sent to Narayanganj court, " said the police official.
