Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus left Dhaka this evening for Dubai to participate in the World Governments Summit 2025, hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
An Emirates Airlines flight carrying Prof. Yunus and his delegation departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at approximately 7:45 PM, according to Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Rafiqul Alam previously stated that the Chief Adviser’s participation would allow him to present Bangladesh’s perspectives on global challenges and international affairs.
During his visit, Prof. Yunus is expected to engage in bilateral discussions with world leaders on the sidelines of the summit. His participation follows a formal invitation from UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, extended on January 13, 2025.
Established in 2013, the World Governments Summit serves as a global platform for exchanging governance strategies, policy innovations, and leadership insights.
Prof. Yunus is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on February 14.
