Govt to procure rock phosphate, fertilizer, rice and LNG

The Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP), held at the Cabinet Division Conference Room at Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday with adviser for Education and Planning Professor Wahiduddin Mahmud in the chair approved separate proposals on government procurement.

The procurement list includes 30,000 tonnes of rock phosphate, 30,000 tonnes of MOP fertilizer, 50,000 MTs of non-Basmati boiled rice and one cargo LNG to meet the growing demands of the country
Following a proposal of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) the committee gave approval for procuring 30,000 tonnes of rock phosphate from M/s Zentrade FZE, UAE at around Taka 82.26 crore with per MT rock phosphate costing US$228.50.
