Legendary Bengali singer Sabina Yasmin has returned to the recording studio after recovering from a recent illness, lending her voice to a new country song.

The song, written by renowned lyricist Mohammad Rafiquzzaman and composed by Shawkat Ali Emon, marks her comeback to music after more than a year.

The new track features collaborations with ten other artists, including veteran singer Syed Abdul Hadi and National Film Award-winning artist Atia Anisa. Atia, who shared a picture with Sabina on Facebook, expressed her excitement about the opportunity to sing alongside the iconic artist.

"Today is a memorable day in my life! I met the legendary singer Sabina Yasmin ma'am for the first time and got the rare opportunity to sing with her. We grew up listening to the magic of her voice, and today it was like a dream to join hands with that voice in a country song," Atia wrote.

She added, "Despite being such a big artist, she is very sincere, which has inspired me even more. I will never forget the experience of spending time with her in the studio, learning from her. It is undoubtedly one of the best moments of my musical career."

Sabina Yasmin, who has been a dominant figure in Bengali music for decades, had been out of the music scene for over a year. Her return to the stage on January 31 at the ‘Amader Sabina Yasmin: Ami Achi Thakbo’ program in Dhaka was met with great enthusiasm. However, after performing for an hour and a half, she fell ill and was rushed to a hospital in Gulshan.

Prior to this, Sabina had performed in several stage shows across Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, in late 2023. Since then, she had taken a break from public performances, focusing on her health.

Her return to the studio and the recording of this new song have been welcomed by fans and fellow artists alike. The collaboration with younger artists like Atia Anisa highlights Sabina Yasmin's enduring influence and her commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians.

As the song prepares for release, fans eagerly await the chance to hear the legendary voice of Sabina Yasmin once again, blending seamlessly with the talents of her contemporaries in a tribute to the timeless appeal of Bengali music.
