After seven years of impactful contributions to youth empowerment and social development, the authorities of STARK BANGLADESH have officially renamed the organization to BANGLALEADS.
The name change was announced at a colorful event held at the Faiz Noor Nahar Auditorium at Cheragi Mor in Chattogram on Sunday afternoon.
During the event, BANGLALEADS Founder and President Nahidul Islam Emon shared the organization's vision, stating, "We keep the spirit of the July-August mass upsurge in our hearts. This change in our name is meant to reflect this spirit in our work. We believe the name BANGLALEADS will reflect our new commitment and responsibility."
BANGLALEADS will continue its work on climate education, youth leadership development, and social progress. The organization's work on climate education began in June 2022 through the Project Aware with Us program, which has since evolved into calls for policy change.
The organization plans to carry out multifaceted activities to mainstream environmental and climate education within Bangladesh’s education system and develop the skills of youth in the process.
In April, BANGLALEADS will host the first climate education policy conference in Chattogram, marking a significant step toward creating a platform for climate-related discussions and actions.
The event was attended by eminent personalities, social activists, journalists, educationists, and young leaders.
