Dear Sir

Chittagong University is a beautiful university. But, beauty does not quench the hunger of students. Quality food quenches hunger and thirst. Just as good environment is important for students to study well, quality food is also important. A student becomes physically weak if he does not eat good food. He suffers from various diseases. As a result of which his studies, exams and results are not good. However, the food in the hall of one of the first universities of the country like Chittagong University is of such poor quality that it is difficult to express in words. The rice is of very poor quality. Cooked dal is like river water. Even, it tastes worse than that. Pieces of fish and chicken are as small as mustard seeds. No taste for cooking. Students of lower-middle class families are eating these substandard foods in order to survive! Day by day the quality of food in the hall is deteriorating, which is a source of great frustration for the students. Despite repeated complaints in this regard, the university administration has shown indifference. New administration has recently been appointed. So, humble request to the new administration, increase the food quality in the hall soon.

Md Riyad Uddin
Student, University of Chittagong
