Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has announced a 38-member preliminary squad of the Bangladesh national football team for the next Asian Cup qualifying match against India to be played on 25 March. BFF included England club Sheffield United FC's midfielder Hamza Choudhury and Italian club Olbia Calcio FC's Fahamedul Islam there.
Bangladesh will begin its campaign with a match against India in the qualifying stage. The first match will be played in Shillong, Meghalaya. Bangladesh head coach Javier Fernandez Cabrera this time brought in two Bangladeshis overseas to experiment with them.
Like the two, more than a few players in the preliminary squad got a chance in the team for the first time.
