BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged the people of Bangladesh to remain vigilant against what he described as Sheikh Hasinas traps, blaming the former prime ministers government for the countrys ongoing instability.
Speaking to journalists after arriving at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from the United States, Fakhrul emphasized the need for a strategic and united approach to tackle the crisis.
"We must tread carefully. To ensure the success of our movement, we must move forward gradually. Darkness cannot be dispelled by another darkness; it requires light. We must ignite that light and move forward," he stated.
Referring to past political struggles, Fakhrul claimed that students and the people of Bangladesh had previously ousted Hasinas government through an uprising, and he warned against falling into what he termed "Hasina's trap."
He stressed the need for unity to safeguard Bangladeshs independence, sovereignty, and democratic values.
"We must remain united in our efforts to protect the country and establish democracy against fascist forces," he added.
When asked about Operation Devil Hunt, Fakhrul described it as a timely initiative and expressed gratitude to the government for launching it.
