One held with foreign pistol in Sirajganj

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a member of a robber gang with a foreign pistol at Ullapara upazila in Sirajganj district on Saturday.

The arrested man is Mahbub Khan, 35, a resident of Baghbari village at Kamarkhand upazila in the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a DB team conducted a raid in Ullapara Panchlia Bazaar area and arrested the accused with the pistol, 7 round bullets, a magazine, two motorbikes and a TV.
Siraganj DB police officer-in-charge Ekramul Hosain confirmed the detention and said that already eight more robbery cases have been filed against Mahbub with different police stations in Sirajganj.
