2 killed in Chuadanga road accident

Two youths were killed when a speeding tractor crashed into a motorbike in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district on Saturday night.

The dead were identified as Nahid Hossain, 19, and Sweet, 25, residents of Puratan Bastabpur area under the upazila.
Damurhuda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Humayun Kabir said Nahid and Sweet were returning to Puratan Bastabpur riding on a motorcycle from Ragunathpur after finishing some personal work on Saturday night. Around 11:30 pm, a speeding tractor coming from the opposite direction rammed into the bike carrying the pair in front of a madrasha at Bastabpur. They died on the spot, the OC added.

The further said the bodies were taken to the police station and would be handed over to the families upon completion of legal procedures.
