Police recovered the bodies of a couple from Konabari area in Gazipur�s Sadar upazila on Saturday.
The bodies were recovered from a rented house in Baimail area in the upazila around 4:00 PM.
The deceased were identified as Sohag Hosain, 25, son of Siddiqur Rahman and Mou Akter Bristi, 20, daughter of Mobarak Hosain. Both are the residents of Sirajganj district.
Dewan Mohammad Rasel, son of house owner, said that the room where the couple lived, was locked inside from the morning till the afternoon. Later, other residents assuming bad and call on national emergency number 999 to inform police.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot, entered the room after breaking open the door and found Shohang hanging from the ceiling and Bristi lying on the ground.
Konabari Police Station officer-in-charge Nazrul Islam confirmed the recovery.
