Miscreants’ fire burnt 2000 chickens alive in Laxmipur

As much as two thousand chickens were burned into ashes in a poultry farm from a fire set on by a group of miscreants� at Ramganj upazila in Laxmipur early Friday night.

The incident took place at Purbapara Dighirpar under Kanchanpur union in the upazila.

According to the compliant, the victim�s relatives noticed the fire burning around 2:00 AM. They shouted and tried to extinguish fire with water. Around two thousand chickens were burnt in this incident.
The farm owner Rashed said that he built the farm after taking loans. Due to the unexpected incident, he would suffer a great loss.

Munsur Ahmed, father's of Rashed, lodged a complaint with nearby police station in this regard. The damage caused a lose around Tk 3 lakh.

He received a complaint in this connection, said Ramganj Police Station officer-in-charge Abul Bashar, adding that legal action will be taken upon investigation.
