Elderly man 'cut by train' in Chuadanga

Police recovered the lying body of a man at the southern end of Chuadanga railway station on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Obaidul Hossain, 55, son of Azmat Ali of Puratan Hospital para under Chuadanga municipality.

He might have crushed under a train, said Jagodish Basu, Sub Inspector of Chuadanga railway police outpost.

He said that the Nakshikatha Express Train from Khulna arrived at the station around 3am.

Later, the body was found lying at the southern end of the station.

The body was identified by The Police Bureau of Investigation through the fingerprint test, he added.
