Missing man found dead in Sirajganj

Police recovered the body of a man from a pond at Shernagar village of Belkuchi upazila in Sirajganj on Friday, 10 days after going missing.

The deceased was identified as Aynal Hossain, 40, son of late Abed Ali, a resident of Kamarpara village in the upazila.
According to locals, Aynal was mentally sick after being assaulted by the family members of his father-in-law. He went outside from home and did not return. He had been missing since then.

Confirming the matter, Belkuchi Police Station officer-in-charge Jakaria Hossain said that locals spotted Ayanl�s body in a pond and informed police.

Being informed, a team of police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Sirajganj General Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination, the OC said.

Necessary steps will be made after completing the post-mortem examination, added the OC.
