Disabled woman’s body recovered in M'singh

The body of a mentally disabled woman was recovered from Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Lipi Rani, 24, daughter of Anand Khalifa, and a resident of Noyonpur village under Mollikbari union of the upazila.
According to locals, Lipi could not be seen anywhere since Wednesday afternoon. Her family members searched for her entire village.

Later, locals found the body under the sluice gate near the Hajir bazar-Nayanpur road at Noyonpur village under Mollikbari union in the upazila.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

Bhaluka Model Police Station officer-in-charge (Investigation) Humayun Ahmed said that a team recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) for an autopsy.

Further details would be known after getting autopsy report, the OC added.
