AL leader arrested in Rajbari

Police arrested a leader of Awami League in a case related to Anti-Discrimination Student Movement from Arotpotti area of Goalanda upazila in Rajbari on Thursday.

The arrested, Islam Molla, is the leader of Goalanda Union AL and also the general secretary of Rajbari Motor Workers Union.
Confirming the matter, Goalanda Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Rakibul Islam said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive in the area and arrested him.

He was shown arrested in a case filed by Shofiqul Islam, a local coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, on December 10.

He was was produced before a court on Thursday, the OC added.
