Woman among 2 beat up by mob for shouting 'Joy Bangla'

Two individuals, including a woman, were beat up by an angry mob--students and mass people-- for 'shouting Joy Bangla slogan' at Dhanmondi-32.

The incident occurred around 11:30AM on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses said a woman was beaten for allegedly 'shouting a Joy Bangla slogan', while a man was attacked for referring to the building as 'Apa's home' in reference to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

The protesters beat the two and pushed them towards the main road. Then a photojournalist and several others got them onto a rickshaw.

The angry people chased the rickshaw till Metro Shopping.
