Demanding fair justice, family members of the July uprising martyrs blocked Shahbagh on Thursday noon.

Under the banner of 'July 24 Shaheed Family' members of the victims' family around 11:15am gathered at Shahbagh in the capital nad later sit-in there, causing a halt in traffic and creating difficulties for the general public.

They were found holding photographs of the deceased and placards calling for justice.
Some of the protesters raised allegations of indifference and negligence of the government over justice.

They urged for the swift extradition of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina from India to face trial.

"It has been six months but not taken any visible steps of trial. We are giving only assurance," the family members alleged.

The families alleged that they have been attempting to meet Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus for months but have been consistently denied access.
