Former MP Bahar's house, AL office vandalized, set on fire in Cumilla

Former MP AKM Bahauddin Bahar's house and the Cumilla Metropolitan Awami League office were vandalized and set on fire in Comilla.

The incident took place after 1 am on Thursday. Later, the protesters poured petrol on the house and set it on fire.
Eyewitnesses said that around 1 am, the protesters tried to break the window grill of the former MP Bahar's house in Munsefbari area of Cumilla city. Later, many people broke the lock and entered inside. Many people threw bricks at the house. At one point, they vandalized the house. Later, petrol was poured on some rooms of the house and set fire to the front of the building. Earlier, the house was vandalized even after the fall of the Awami League government on August 5.

Meanwhile, at around 12:30 am, an attempt was made to vandalize Cumilla Metropolitan Awami League offices located in the city's Ramghat area. The protesters broke the brickwork in front of the main gate of the South District Awami League office.
