The residences of former minister Amir Hossain Amu, former chief whip Abul Hasanat Abdullah and former lawmaker from Natore-2 Shafiqul Islam Shimul were vandalised by protesters in Barishal and Natore districts early Thursday.

A group of demonstrators at approximately 12:45AM used a bulldozer to bring down Hasanat Abdullah's house on Kali Bari Road before moving to Amir Hossain Amu's residence on Bogura Road. The protesters broke through the entrance and almost razed the structure to the ground.

Meanwhile, at 12midnight on Thursday, protesters broke into Shimul's residence in the Kandivita area of Natore city and set fire to it.
During the incident, demonstrators played loud music and chanted anti-Awami League slogans before leaving the area in a procession around 1AM.

Eyewitnesses said no law enforcement personnel were present at the scene during the incident.
