Students enter Mujib residence to erase 'symbol of dictatorship'

A group of protesting students forcibly entered the residence of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi 32 after breaking through the gate on Wednesday night. 

The incident occurred around 8:00 PM.  

Fantasiar Mahmud, spokesperson for Anti-Discrimination Movement stated, �We have been at Dhanmondi 32 since evening. Scores of people are arriving by the minute. We want to erase the mark of Bangladesh�s first dictatorship using bulldozers.�  

Reports indicate that former Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, who was recently ousted from power following a mass uprising, is scheduled to address the student community virtually tonight. The announcement of her speech has sparked widespread criticism.  

Meanwhile, students and online activists participating in the uprising have declared that they will erase building at Dhanmondi 32 at the exact moment Sheikh Hasina begins her speech. The issue has triggered heated debates and mixed reactions on social media platforms.
