Two youths succumbed to their injuries on Wednesday, after being involved in a clash between two juvenile-gangs over establishing supremacy and drugs dispute in Narayanganj's Rupganj upazila on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Tarabo bazaar in the upazila on Tuesday evening.
The deceased were identified as Rashedul Islam, 16, son of Amir Hossain and Hridoy Mia, 22, son of Jamal Hossain from Puran Bazar area of the municipality.
According to locals, there had been a long standing dispute between the two groups--one led by Shimul and another led by Shrabon-- over establishing supremacy and drugs dispute. As a sequel to it, the both groups swooped on each other with lethal weapons, leaving the duo critically injured on the spot.
Locals rescued them and took to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) but they succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment early Wednesday.
