On Wednesday, February 5, Khulna Tigers (KHT) and Chittagong Kings (CHK) will play in Qualifier 2 of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League 2024�25 at the famed Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
Interestingly, after six wins and as many losses from their 12 games, the Tigers ended up in fourth place in the standings at the completion of the round-robin stage. The team captained by Mehidy Hasan Miraz easily defeated the Rangpur Riders in the Eliminator, needing just 58 balls and nine wickets to chase down a meager 86-run mark. They will have a three-match winning streak going into the Eliminator.
After placing second in the standings, Chittagong Kings lost to Fortune Barishal in Qualifier 1. In the league stage, Mohammad Mithun and company played 12 games, winning eight and losing four. Chittagong scored just 149/9 in their 20 overs against Barishal in their last meeting. With nine wickets already taken, the reigning champs chased the goal in 17.2 overs.
