The Public Administration Reforms Commission, led by former Secretary Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury and the Judiciary Reforms Commission, led by retired Justice Shah Abu Nayeem Mominir Rahman, will submit their reports to Chief Adviser Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus at 12:30pm on Wednesday.

Public Administration Reforms Commission Chairman Muyeed Chowdhury confirmed the information on Tuesday while talking to media in the Public Administration Ministry at the Secretariat.

He assured that the PA Reforms Commission report would comprise more than 100 recommendations, which can be implemented easily.

"We, PA Reforms Commission, could not submit our report within the stipulated period last month. Because, we had gone to the field levels including districts and upazilas and discussed with the people of different corners. We have also taken opinions through online," Muyeed Chowdhury added.

He said, "We, the commission members, have already signed the final report today (Tuesday). We will go to the Chief Adviser's Office at 12:30pm and hand over the report to the CA. At the same time, the Judiciary Reforms Commission will also submit its report to the CA."

Regarding the commission's recommendations, Public Administration Ministry's Senior Secretary Dr Md Mokhles Ur Rahman, also member secretary to the commission, said, "The report would become a public document after submission to the Chief Adviser. It would be given in the website. You will get everything. There will be no misunderstanding if it is disclosed after submission of the reports."

Muyeed Chowdhury said, "The recommendations given are implementable. We would not recommend if those are not implementable. Now, it is the government's concern whether those would be implemented or not."

The eight member Public Administration Reforms Commission was formed on October 3 last year aiming at reforming the public administration system to make it public oriented, accountable, efficient and neutral. Former Secretary Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, also chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, was made the head of the commission, which co-opted three more members later.

The commission was given three months (90 days) to submit its report. Later, the deadline was increased thrice until February 15. But, the commission decided to submit the report as it has been completed.

The Commission members are former secretaries Mohammad Tareq and Mohammad Aiyub Miah, former additional secretary Hafizur Rahman, former joint secretary Rizwan Khair, Dhaka University Professor of Public Administration Department AKM Firoz Ahmed, retired health cadre officer Dr Syeda Shahina Sobhan, retired audit cadre officer Firoz Ahmed, retired Tax cadre officer Khondker Mohammad Aminur Rahman, and student's representative Jagannath University's Mehedi Hasan.
