Two sawmills owners fined in Dinajpur

Two sawmill owners have been fined Tk 13,000 for running mills illegally at Hakimpur upazila in Dinajpur district on Tuesday.

A mobile court, led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Amit Roy, conducted a raid at Chatni Choumohuni bazaar under the municipality and fined the duo.

Law enforcer officials were also present during the raid.
The UNO said that they were came to know that a large number of sawmills have been running illegally without having license for a long time. Following specific allegations, two sawmill owners was fined during the raid.

He also emphasized on renewing of license of the mills.
