Sumaya Matsushima, the Japan-born Bangladeshi footballer of the women's national football team, has received a few death and rape threats on social media over the much-talked-about conflict between some senior footballers and the coach.

Some senior members of the Bangladesh women's football team and their English coach Peter James Butler were not getting along.

The senior booters did not want him as their coach and that was why they abandoned his practice session.

This conflict is now a much-discussed topic in Bangladesh football. BFF has formed an investigation committee in this regard.

In the meantime, a lot of discussion and criticism are going on social media, mostly against the rebellious booters.

However, women footballers are also facing various unpleasant incidents on social media. On Tuesday afternoon, Sumaiya made an allegation regarding the death and rape threats in a post on her verified Facebook page. She also wondered why she wanted to be a footballer and why she was not getting the support she was supposed to get from the country as an athlete.
