Twenty out of 24 public universities will continue the GST cluster admission test under 2025-26 academic sessions.
The decision was made in a meeting of cluster-based universities on Tuesday.
GST admission committee convener Professor Anwarul Azim Akhand, also the vice-chancellor of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, confirmed the matter.
Anwarul Azim said that Jagannath University (JnU), Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), and Khulna University opted out of the cluster system this year and will hold admission tests independently.
He further said that Khulna University authorities were not informed of their position whether they would take part in the admission test system or not.
Mentioned, a group of admission seekers gathered in front of the University Grants Commission premises and confined two of its gates demanding to hold the entry test under the GST cluster admission test.
